Daily Planners & Master Family Calendar

Anyone else excited to flip the calendar to January so they can start using their new day planners?

i love planners

I am such a paper girl at heart but I’m frugal too, so no expensive planners for me!  This year I bought a VERY simple month at a glance planner for 89 cents at the Christmas Tree Shop!

The front isn’t so impressive but the inside… oh swoon… it has color!  I also love using different color pens, washi craft tape, stickers and rubber stamps to embellish it and make it even more colorful and fun!

For days that I have a lot going on, I use this other book that allows me to break down things by time from morning to bedtime.  This is great when I have to run errands and be in a lot of places in one day!  Gotta know when I’m coming and going on those busy days!  {Most days are routine as we homeschool so this isn’t something I use every day.}

Within my planner I use mini binder clips to attach notepads plus I use post it notes for my to do lists that are easy to move around!  I like to have it functional!

TIP FOR KEEPING THE WHOLE FAMILY’S SCHEDULES ORGANIZED:
Above is how I keep MYSELF organized but I am married with a family and one of my favorite tools to make sure my husband and I know what each other is doing is with the Cozi app.  We’ve been using it for almost three years and I blogged about it a long time ago {HERE} if you want to read about that.  In a nutshell it’s an internet based calendar so any updates on my iphone link to his and also to my home computer!  It’s awesome!  You definitely need to check that post out if you need to find a system for your whole family!

I hope everyone had an organized and happy 2015!!

Smiles,
Mary
